In many situations they could be viewed as an inspector, an appraiser, a representative, or the eye's and ear's for you or your company. They are similar in ways to an insurance adjustor, but they have specialized knowledge and training that is relevant to the claim, and do not make decisions on coverage or issue payments. A surveyor will report on and document conditions and then make recommendations by indentifying the cause, nature and extent of damages. Our aim is to protect your interests by providing you with the information required to a make an informed business decisions.
A Marine Surveyor can bring clarity to a claim or issue by providing up-to-date first hand information to a claim, specialized knowledge regarding the claim, industry contacts, and most importantly, the credentials and strong report writing skills and photography to properly document and substantiate a claim in a clear and concise manner.

You are paying for knowledge, experience, education, professionalism and proper documentation and reporting of the findings. Contact us to discuss your needs and to receive a quote.
Generally, each report will contain background information, list of all equipment or cargo, description of the conditions found with photographs, and a summary of recommendations and any supporting documentation or reports. The report is confidential and sent only to those who are authorized by the owner of the report to receive a copy. Our reports are accepted by banks and insurance companies worldwide.
Many brokers are not interested in having a professional and thorough Marine Survey performed because they feel that any deficiencies found may interfere with the sale. Our aim is to protect your interests by providing you with the information required to make an informed decision.
Remember, the broker may be looking out for their client's best interests, or even their own interest's in the sale, not yours. While we feel that most brokers operate with the best intentions during a sale, some don't, or they may simply not have the experience to do so.
